unit 35 - m2

Unit 35 – m2

Logo – For the colour illustrator uses the CMYK model. It represents cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

The file format that I used was a JPEG. I used that because a vector file type provides a smoother line for the text.
I used 800 pixels x 600 pixels for the image resolution because it provides an image that is very clear.

Van image – For the colour illustrator uses the CMYK model. It represents cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

Nursery Flyer – for the colour I used the RGB colour scheme. It represents Red Green and Blue.
I saved the file as a JPEG because I wanted the images and text to look smooth, which is what a vector file type provides.

Copyright – this gives the owner of a piece of work the right to decide what other people can do with it. This means that the owner can make money from the sale of their work. It means then than the work can only be copied with the owner’s permission. If someone copy’s the work without the owner’s permission, this may lead to a fine or maybe even imprisonment.

Example of copyright – if someone was to copy the bugs bunny picture and use it on their product without permission form warner bros. then this would be copyright and they may be fined or imprisoned.

Registered trademark – this allows people to distinguish between products from one business to another. This may be a name, word, logo phrase or design. Only things then made by that business can have the product trademark on it.

Example of registered trademark – coca cola is a registered trademark name and no other business may use this, or similar names. For example you need a different name like Pepsi, which is not similar to coca cola.

Nursery Flyer
For a nursery flyer i would suggest bitmap and vector by using Microsoft publisher because there may be images and text on the flyer so you need bitmap and vector. A flyer will certainly have text on it explaining stuff about the nursery, so will need a vector file type. A flyer may also need images to make it more appealing so this is why a bitmap file type would be needed. Publisher is a good software for flyers because it provides both images and text.

Band Logo
The logo could be created in Adobe Illustrator, but it would be exported as a bitmap. The bitmap makes a smooth image and is best for lines and text plus Illustrator allows you to use text and images. The logo will need smooth lines and vector will provide that much more better than a bitmap.

Builders Van Text
For a builders van text i would suggest vector adobe Illustrator. The vector creates a smooth image even when enlarged. There is also with a range of colors and text. It is best used for text, compared to bitmap so would be the best file type. Illustrator has a wide range of fonts which would create an very attractive text for the side of the van.
